A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING PERTAINING TO THE SHASTA COUNTY SHERIFF'S POSSE ANNUAL RODEO WEEK CELEBRATION. WHEREAS, the twenty-seventh annual Shasta County Sheriff's Posse Rodeo celebration will be held during the week of May 15, 1976, to May 22, 1976, and WHEREAS, certain requests have been made of the City Council in connection with parking and the use of certain streets during said Rodeo Week, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Redding to encourage the growth and success of said Rodeo Week, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding, as follows: correct. 1. That all of the foregoing recitals are true and 2. That it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Redding to grant the requests of the Shasta County Sheriff's Posse and the Asphalt Cowboys, and to that end the Chief of Police, in cooperation with the Director of Public Works, is directed to accomplish the following: (a) Prohibit parking and vehicular traffic on the west- erly one-half of the 1600 Block California Street parking lot, on May 20, 1976, and May 21, 1976, for Roaring Gulch activities. (b) Prohibit parking and vehicular traffic on both sides of Center Street and California Street from Riverside Drive to Shasta Street and on both sides of Shasta Street from Oregon Street to Market Street, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, May 22, 1976, for the Rodeo Parade. (c) Prohibit parking and vehicular traffic on the parade line of march between the hours of 8:00 A.M. G` -1- and 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 22, 1976, said line of march to originate on California Street and Center Street, proceed south ­on California Street to Sacra- mento Street, thence east on Sacramento Street to Pine Street, thence north on Pine Street to Tehama Street. 3. That the City Clerk is directed to permit the Asphalt Cowboys to conduct a square dance in the Centennial Plaza of the Redding Mall commencing at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 20, 1976. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 29th day of March, 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Anderson LEE D.
