RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE'GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF REDDING ON MARCH 2, 1976.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was duly held on
the 2nd day of March, 1976, for the purpose of electing two City
Councilmen and a City Treasurer for a full term of four years,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding has
canvassed the returns of said election pursuant to law,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
resolves, declares and affixes as follows:
1. That the persons receiving votes for the offices
of Councilmen, and the total number of votes that each such per-
son received, are as follows:

2. That the person receiving votes for the office of
City Treasurer, and the total number of votes received, are as
follows:
OFFICE OF CITY TREASURER: TOTAL VOTES:
Pauline J. Brown 1477
3. That the total number of electors voting at said
election was 2148, and the total number of votes cast for the
offices of Councilmen and City Treasurer was 5479
4. That the two candidates receiving the highest
number of votes for the office of Councilmen, are as follows:

BARBARA A. GARD 966

5. That the candidate receiving the highest number
of votes for the office of City Treasurer is as follows:
PAULINE J. BROWN
1477
6. That the number of votes cast for -each of the can-
didates for the offices of Councilmen and the City Treasurer at
each precinct and the absentees are as set forth and shown on
the tally attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A" and incorporated
herein by reference.
7. That the candidates for the offices:,6f Councilmen,
as hereinafter set forth, are hereby declared to have been elected
as Councilmen of the City of Redding for the full term of four
years:

BARBARA A. GARD
8. That the candidate for the office of City Treasurer
as hereinafter set forth, is hereby declared to have been elected
as City Treasurer of the City of Redding for the term of four
years:
PAULINE J. BROWN
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was in-
troduced and read at an adjourned regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Redding held on the 9th day of March, 1976,
and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
