A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT
UNDER CHAPTER 15 OF THE REDDING CITY CODE ON CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (Owned by Glenn
L. Moran and Echo Elaine Moran at 412 Market Street).
WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 15 of the Redding
City Code provide that all buildings or structures which are
structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect,
decay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute
a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort
for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by
the City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as
provided therein, and
WHEREAS, the Building Inspector and the Fire Marshal
have made an inspection of the building located on real property
as hereinafter described, and have declared it to be unsafe and/or
a hazard to safety, health and public welfare,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding, as follows:
That it is the intention of this City Council to begin
legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 15 of the Redding
City Code on the following described property:
Parcel 1: A parcel of land in the southwest one-quarter
of the northeast one-quarter of Section 25, T. 32 N., R. 5
W., M.D.M., described as follows: Beginning at an angle
point in the northwesterly boundary of the right of way
of California State Highway U.S. 99, distant at a right
angle N. 51°53' W., 125 feet from Engineer's Station 64-
50.00 in the surveyed centerline of said highway between
Sulphur Creek and Boulder Creek, said point of beginning
being distant N. 38007' E., 1068.61 feet and N. 51°53' W.,
200.00 feet from the northerly corner of Lot 3, Block 1
of Benton Subdivision and running thence from said point of
beginning along the northwesterly boundary of said highway
right of way, N. 38007' E., 86.21 feet; thence leaving
said highway and running N. 7057' E., 310.47 feet; thence
N. 82003' W., 86.00 feet; thence S. 7057' W., 360.20 feet
to a point in the northwesterly boundary of said highway
right of way; thence along said highway right of way S.
51053' E., 49.36 feet to the point of beginning.
Parcel 2: A circular plot or parcel of land containing an
area of 0.007 acres more or less,
and being all the land

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned
hereinabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided
by Chapter 15 of the Redding City Code, and it is hereby ordered
to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal, the
Building Inspector and the Board of Appeals of the City of Redding
are hereby directed to take all proceedings provided in Chapter 15
of the City Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward
a certified copy of this Resolution to the County Recorder of
Shasta County for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 2nd day of February , 1976, and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
