A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF RESTROOM FACILITIES AT REDDING SOFTBALL PARK.
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and the Redding Recreation
and Parks Commission have recommended immediate replacement of the
substandard restroom facilities at the Redding Softball Park, and
WHEREAS, the cost of construction of such new facilities
is iestimated at the sum of $15,000.00, of which the Redding Softball
League, Inc. has agreed to pay $1,000.00 if the project is com-
pleted by June 1, 1976, leaving a balance of $14,000.00 to be
expended by the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
int lerests of the City of Redding and its citizens to adopt such
recommendation, and
WHEREAS, there are insufficient funds provided in the
19715-76 Budget for the purpose stated above, and
WHEREAS, there is a surplus of Revenue Sharing Funds,
and
WHEREAS, the Redding City Code specifically provides
that the City Council may designate by Resolution the transfer
of funds within the budget of any fiscal year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are true and correct.
2. That the sum of Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000.00)
belappropriated for construction of new restroom facilities at the
Redding Softball Park, and that said sum be transferred:
FROM: Revenue Sharing Fund - Unappropriated Fund Balance,
TO: Revenue Sharing Fund - Appropriations - Capital
Outlay,
to make available the funds necessary for said project.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
th i City of Redding on the 2nd day of February 1976, and was
duly
adopted at said
meeting by
the following
