A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 3084, NO. 4155, AND NO. 4499, AND ESTABLISHING A NEW 15 MINUTE PARKING ZONE ON THE WEST SIDE OF MAGNOLIA STREET BETWEEN POINTS 278 FEET AND 378 FEET NORTH OF PLACER STREET. WHEREAS, Resolutions No. 3084, No. 4155, and No. 4499 established school bus loading zones on the west side of Magnolia Street in the block north of Placer Street for the benefit of Magnolia Elementary School students, and WHEREAS, Magnolia School is no longer in use as a public school facility and such school bus loading zones are no longer necessary, and WHEREAS, the Child Care Center, which is now operating in the Magnolia School, has requested the establishment of a limited parking zone at the north end of the school property for loading and unloading children, and WHEREAS, Section 18-42 of the Redding City Code, 1959, as amended, provides the authority for the establishment of such limited parking zones by resolution, and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its memorandum dated January 13, 1976, has recommended that a 15 minute parking zone be established on the west side of Magnolia Street between points 278 feet and 378 feet north of the north curb line of Placer Street, said limited parking to be in effect from 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Mondays through Saturdays, and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommenda- tion and deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Redding to adopt same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1. Resolutions No. 3084, No. 4155, and No. 4499 are hereby rescinded, and shall be of no further force and effect. 2. A "Limited Parking - 15 Minutes" zone is hereby established on the west side of Magnolia Street between points -1- Ar i 278 feet and 378 feet north of the north curb line of Placer Street, said limited parking to be in effect from 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Mondays through Saturdays. 3. That the Director of Public Works is directed to install the appropriate signs and markings pursuant to Section 18-43 of the City Code, to give notice of this parking restriction.
