HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 78-009 - Appointing and Fixing Compensation for Election Officers; Designating Polling Places; Designating Consolidation of Election Precincts for Election on March 7, 1978 RESOLUTION NO. 7 Y 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR SAID ELECTION OFFICERS AND DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES FOR EACH ELECTION PRECINCT AND DESIGNATING CONSOLIDATION OF ELECTION PRECINCTS FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF REDDING ON TUESDAY, MARCH 7, 1978. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING, that at the General Municipal Election to be held in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, on Tuesday, March 7, 1978, there shall be twenty- five (25) voting precincts for the purpose of holding the election, consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts established for holding state or county elections as hereinafter set forth, and that the election officers to serve thereat are appointed as follows; and the polling places designated for the election precincts, are as follows, to wit: CONSOLIDATED ELECTION PRECINCT A: Comprising General Election Precincts No. 1 and 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall give notice of the foregoing appointments and designations of polling places and consolidated election precincts for polling purposes in accordance with law. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 8:00 o'clock P.M.
