A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING,
AS A SPONSOR OF THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY RESOURCES
CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE ORGANIZATION' S CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS .
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding , together
with other City Councils , as well as County Boards of Supervisors
and Resource Conservation Districts in the Northern Sacramento
Valley, are sponsors of the Northern Sacramento Valley Resource
Conservation and Development Project of the Soil Conservation
Service of the United States Department of Agriculture , and
WHEREAS , said organization has filed with the Secretary
of Agriculture a Resource Conservation Development Application,
which may soon be approved as one of ten new planning projects
authorized by Congress , and
WHEREAS , in the event of such approval of the said
application, the organization will need a Constitution and By-Laws
to guide it in its activities under this program, and such Con-
stitution and By-Laws have been submitted to the Redding City
Council for approval and adoption,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows :
1 . That the foregoing recitals are true and correct .
2 . That the Constitution and By-Laws of the Northern
Sacramento Valley Resources Conservation and Development Project ,
attached hereto, are hereby approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Redding , as one of the sponsors of said organization .
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 16th day of January , 1978 , and was duly adopted
at said meeting by the following vote :

The powers of the i,orthern Sacramento Valley' BUD are restricted
to its '•umpone as stated in Article II of this Constitution. LeGal
