RESOLUTION NO. Rq-. -77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING AND CONFIRMING REPORT AND ACCOUNT OF THE COST OF
ABATEMENT OF UNSAFE BUILDINGS AND DEBRIS ON THE STEINBACH
PROPERTY, 1031 BOND STREET.
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the City of Redding has sub-
mitted to the City Council for confirmation, a report and account
of the cost of abatement of unsafe buildings and debris on the
property owned by the Howard Steinbach, being Parcel No.
068-400-50, located at 1031 Bond Street, Redding, California, and
more particularly described as follows:
Real property situate in the City of Redding, County of
Shasta, State of California, described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 8, T. 31 N.,
R. 4 W., M.D.M., and running thence S. 89118' E., 20.0 feet;
thence S. 0141116" E., on and along the easterly boundary of
the County Road, 496.50 feet to the true point of beginning
of this description; beginning at said point and running
thence S. 89°19'30" E., 200.0 feet; thence S. 0°41116" E.,
86.16 feet; thence N. 89°21' W., 200.0 feet; thence N.
0°41116" W., 86.25 feet to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the demolition and removal work done on said
property, for which said costs were incurred, was done pursuant
to the provisions of the City Code, and the owner of the subject
property was notified in advance of all proceedings herein as
provided for in said Code; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redding does hereby approve and confirm the report and
account of the cost of demolition and removal of unsafe buildings
and debris on the subject property. These costs shall constitute
a lien on said property and shall be collected in the manner of
ordinary taxes by the Tax Collector of the County of Shasta,
acting for the City of Redding. The City Clerk of the City of
Redding is directed to send a copy of this resolution and ,the
report of the Fire Marshal herein to the County Auditor of Shasta
County for that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 17th day of December , 1984, and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
