A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON CHURN CREEK ROAD FROM
SOUTH BONNYVIEW ROAD TO ALROSE LANE.
WHEREAS, Section 11.24.040 of the Redding Municipal Code
specifically provides that the City Council may designate, by
resolution, additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconven-
ient for parking purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission has recommended
that parking be prohibited at all times on Churn Creek Road from
South Bonnyview Road to Alrose Lane in order to alleviate visibi-
lity problems at that intersection; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommendation
and deems it in the best interests of the City to adopt same; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding as follows:
1. That parking is prohibited at all times on Churn Creek
Road from South Bonnyview Road to Alrose Lane.
2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized
and directed to install appropriate signs and markings to accom-
plish the purpose of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
