A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS
OF ABATEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 9 . 36 OF THE REDDING
MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF REDDING. (Owned by Echo Moran and
located at 2669 Heather Lane. )
WHEREAS , the provisions of Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures
located within the City of Redding which are structurally
unsafe or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or
other causes which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous
to human life or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute
persons , may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of
the City of Redding and thereafter abated as provides therein,
and
WHEREAS , the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the
building located on real property as hereinafter described,
and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety ,
health and public welfare, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is
categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows :
That it is the intention of this City Council to begin
legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9 . 36 of the

Redding Municipal Code on the following described property :
All that portion of Lot 9 , Block 1, as shown on
the map of Country Club Subdivision, recorded in
the office of the County Recorder November 4 ,
1940 in Book 6 of Maps at page 11 , Shasta County
Records described as follows :
COMMENCING at the Northeast corner of said Lot 9 ;
thence along the North line of said Lot 9 , North
89°42 ' West, 141 . 00 feet to the point of beginning
of this parcel ; thence parallel with the East line
of said Lot 9 , South 0°18 ' West, 60 . 00 feet;
thence parallel with the North line of said Lot 9 ,
North 89°42 ' West, 161 . 71 feet to the West line
of said Lot 9 ; thence along said West line, North
0° 28 ' O8" East, 60 . 00 feet to the Northwest corner
of said Lot 9 ; thence South 89°42 ' East, 161 . 53
feet to the point of beginning .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned
hereinabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as
provided by Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code , and
is hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation ,
demolition or removal .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the
Board of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed
to take all proceedings provided in Chapter 9 . 36 of the
Redding Municipal Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Redding be and is hereby authorized and directed to
forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Shasta
County Recorder for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Counci:
of the City of Redding on the 2nd day of August
