LEGAL PROCEEDINGS•OF"ABATEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 9.36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (Owned by.Faith A. Scott,. 4531 Churn Creek Road). WHEREAS,'the provisions of Chapter 9.36 of the Redding. Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, de- cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as provided therein, and WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the buildings located on real property as hereinafter described, and has declared them to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate- gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding, as follows: That it is the intention of this City Council to begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9..36,of the Redding Municipal Code on the following described property: All'that portion of the N.W. 1/4 of the S.W. 1/4 of Sec- tion 17, T. 31 N., R. 4 W., M.D:B.&M., according to the official plat thereof, lying easterly of Old Churn Creek Road, County.Road #73-D, and south of the south"line of the parcel described in the deed to Roy G. Hanes, et ux., recorded in the office of the County Recorder May 16, 1957, in Book 531 of Official,,'Record's, at page 509, Shasta County Records. 1� Y^ -1- Excepting therefrom all that portion lying; southwesterly of the northeasterly line of Parcel'2.;-'as'described in the deed to the State of California,recorded.in the', office of the County Recorder -November 10,' 1961;" iri Book,' 686, of Official Records,'at page-'424,•ShastaCounty , Records. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said buildings mentioned here- , inabove are hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by Chapter'9.11 136 of the Redding Municipal'Cbde, and are.hereby ordered to 15e abated by repair, rehabilitation,'demolition', or removal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal -and the Board .of Appeals of the'City of Redding are �hereby'directed to take all' 'proceedings provided in Chapter 9.36 of the Redding Municipal Code., BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City -.Clerk of the City of Redding be and she is.hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the County Recorder of Shasta County for recordation..
