A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 74-78, NO. 77-14 AND NO. 79-205,
AND PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON BOTH SIDES OF
CYPRESS AVENUE,• FROM HILLTOP DRIVE TO LARKSPUR LANE.
WHEREAS, Section 11.24.040 of the Redding Municipal Code'
specifically provides that the'City Council may'designate by reso-
lut,ion'additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconvenient for
r
parking purposes, and
WHEREAS, parking prohibitions were established•on.portions.
of Cypress Avenue', from Hilltop Drive to Larkspur Lane, by Resolu-
tions No. 74-78, No. 77-14 and No. 79-205, and the Traffic and Park-
ing Commission now recommends that parking be prohibited throughout
the entire block, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommenda-
tion and deems it in the best interests of the City to adopt same,
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate-
gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding,as follows:.-
1. That Resolutions No. 74-78; No. 77-14 and No.'79-205
are'hereby:.rescirided and sha�il be of no further force and effect... .
2:'That narking'; is prohibited at all times on both sidds

of Cypress Avenue, from Hilltop Drive to Larkspur Lane.
3. That the 'Director of Public Works is hereby authorized
and directed to install appropriate signs and'markings to accomplish
the purpose of this•Resolution. `v

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 21st day of December 1981, and was duly adopted
at said meeting by the following vote: .
