A RESOLUTION:OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF'INTENTION TO'BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT. UNDER CHAPTER. 9.36 OF'THE•REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE'ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY�IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (Owned by. Paul R.:and Audrey V. Jolly?, 1743 'Willis Street)% WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9.36 of the Redding Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures,'which are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, de cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which ,constitu'te a fire menace or are dangerous to human life,' or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons', may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of.Redding and thereafter abated as provided therein, and_ WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has made -an inspection of the building -located on.real property as hereinafter described, and has declared it to.be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate- gorically= exempt,';from':theprovisions of OEQA, NOW „ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of'Redding,•as`follows: `That it is' the intention of this City Council, to begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9.36 of the Redding Municipal Code on the property described in "Exhibit A", attached hereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned here- .inabove is hereby declared'to be a public nuisance as provided.by Chapter 9.36 of the Redding Municipal Code, and is hereby ordered 'to be abated by repair,,rehabilitation, demolition, or removal. N BE, IT, FURTHER• RESOLVED: that the Fire Marshal and the Board o.f Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all ,proceedngs,provided'in Chapter 9.36 of the Redding ?lunicipal"Code., , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the County Recorder of Shasta County for recordation. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro- duced and read at'a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 7th day of December , 1981, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Fulton, Gard', Kirkpatrick, and Pugh . HAYS, City/Attorney -2- Iry All that real property situate in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the East line of Willis Street Northerly 87 feet from the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 5, Breslauer's Addition to Redding as per map recorded in Book 1 Town Plats at page 31, Shasta County Records; thence, Easterly and parallel with the South line of said Lot 7; a distance of 174 feet; thence, Northerly and parallel with the West line of Lot 7, a distance of 37 feet; thence, Westerly and parallel with the South line of Lot 7, a distance of 174 feet to the West line of Lot 7; thence, Southerly along the West line of Lot 7, a distance of 37 feet to the point of beginning.
