X1 IL A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF REDDING AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR JUVENILE OFFICER/ COUNSELOR DIVERSION PROJECT UNDER THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT OF 1974. WHEREAS, the City of Redding'desires to undertake a certain project designated the'Juvenile Officer/Counselor Diversion•, Project, to be funded in part from funds made available through the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (PL 93-415), administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP), and WHEREAS, the City Council has previously ratified a Negative Declaration in'connection•with this project, finding that no significant',effect.on the'environment is created hereby, NOW,`THEREFORE, BE'IT RESOLVED by the City Council.of,the City of Redding as follows:' 1. ',,'The City,Manager,is' authorized to submit to OCJP, on behalf of the City, the attached.Application for Grant for Laic Enforcement Purposes, and is authorized to execute the attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes, including any extensions or amendments thereof. 2. That the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project, including any extension or amend- ment thereof, under the Juvenile Justice and.Delinquency Prevention, .Act and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration, and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. 3. That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled.by this body..'
