A RESOLUTZON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEiE CITY OF REDDING
PERTAINING TO THE SHASTA COUNTY SHERIFF' S POSSE ANNUAL
RODEO WEEK CELEBRATION.
WHEREAS, the thirty-third annual Shasta County Sheriff ' s
P o sse Rodeo celebration will be held during the week of May 8 , 1982 ,
to May 15 , 1982 , and " •
WHEREAS, certain requests have been made of the City
Council. in connection with., parking and the use of certain streets
, during said Rodeo Week, and _
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City 'Council of the City
of . Redding to encourage the growth and success of said Rodeo Week,
and
WHEREAS, it has been , determined that this matter is not '
subject to the provisions of CEQA, ,
, �
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding, as •follows : '
1. . That all of the foregoing recitals are true and correct.
2. That it is deemed to be in the best interests of the
City of Redding to grant the ,requests bf .the Shasta County Sheriff' s
Posse and the Asphalt Cowboys, and' to that end the Chief 'of Police,.
in cooperation with the Director of Public Works, is directed to ac-
complish the following: , . �
(a), Prohibit parking� and vehicular traffic on Market�
Street between Placer and Sacramento Streets from
8 :00 A.M. Thursday, May 13,, to 2 : 00 P.M. Friday,
� May 14 , 1982 , for Roaring Gulch activities.

(b) Prohibit parking and vehicular traffic on both sides
of Center Street and California Stree,t from Riverside
Drive to Shasta Street and on both sides of Shasta
Street from Oregon Street to Market Street, between
the hours of 7 :00 A.M: and 12 : OO ,Noon on Saturday,
May 15 , 1982 , fo'r' the Rodeo Parade. •
(c) Prohibit parking and vehicular traffic on the parade ' .
line of march between the hours of 8: 00 A.M. and 12 :00
Noon on Saturday, May 15, 1982,. said line of march to
originate on California. Street. and Center Street, pro-
ceed south on California Street to Sacramento Street,
• thence east on Sacramento Street to Pine Street, . thence .
north on Pine Street to Tehama Street.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a re.gular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 5th day of April , 1982 , and was duly adopted at
