Fiscal Impact The cost for the AMAG Symmetry CompleteView equipment is estimated to be $98,000. There is sufficient funding available in the Building Maintenance Fund from the Building Forward, Library Infrastructure Grant which the City of Redding (City)received in October 2022. Alte�native Action The City Council (Council) may choose not to make a finding to sole source the equipment and licensing for the AMAG Symmetry CompleteView Video Management System and provide alternative direction to staf£ If alternative direction is provided, then the City will incur extra expenses and service interruptions associated with converting the system to a new vendor. Background/Analysis Since approximately 2007, the Redding Library has been using AMAG Symmetry Access Control. The subject upgrade involves installing the latest hardware components, as the existing components have surpassed their expected lifespan, and this wi11 bring about enhancements to bolster the existing AMAG access control system. The AMAG CompleteView integration of on- site cameras will enable the libraries to transition their existing cameras from an unsupported consumer level product, and result in a single Software Service Agreement. In accordance with PCC 3400(c)(2), the Council may make a finding for a material, product, or service by specific brand or trade name in order to match other products in use within the City's Departments. Making a finding to specifically utilize AMAG Symmetry CompleteView would avoid incurring extra expenses associated with change management and guarantee uninterrupted service operation. Environmental Review This activity is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act, and no further action is required.
