A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
SUMMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF WILLOW ROAD. (A-3.-82) .
WHEREAS, certain real property owned by the City in fee
has been heretofore reserved for street purposes , and said prop-
erty consists of Willow Road, as the same is set forth on map and
plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Red-
ding , and the City Council proposes to vacate a portion of said
street, more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on
Exhibit B attached hereto, in accordance with the provisions of• the
Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets
and Highways, Code Part 3 , Chapter 4 , Sections 8330 et seq. ) , and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding finds
and determines that said portion of Willow Road is excess right of
way not required for present or prospective street purposes , al-
though provision must be made for an existing ACID canal crossing,
NOW, THEREFORE, the' city Council of the City of Redding
resolves and orders as follows:
1 . That the Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding
General Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter
existing land form; C`
(c) The project is compatible with surrounding
land use;
(d) • The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code;
and the Council hereby ratifies the negative declaration approved
by the Board of Administrative Review on April 21 , 1982 .

2 . That certain real property in the City of Redding ,
County of Shasta , State of California, being a portion of Willow
Road, as the same is more particularly described in Exhibit A and
depicted on Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein, is
hereby declared to be excess right of way and surplus property,
and the same is hereby vacated as a public street, and except for
the ACID canal crossing, the City ' s interest in said property
shall be exchanged for land of equal value owned by adjacent
property owners .
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and. read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 7th day of June , 1982 , and was duly
adopted at said meeting by' the following vote:
AYES : COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Fulton, Kirkpatrick, and Gard
NOES : COUNCILMEN : None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Pugh,

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: The Northerly 129.96 feet of the following described
property.
All that real property situate in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,
State of California, described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point on the Southerly line of Lot 29 of the Bonnyview Tract
as per Map of said Tract filed in the Offices of the County Recorder of
Shasta County, California, in Book of Old Plats at page 27, from which
point the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 29 bears South 67° 00' West,
a distance of 354.34 feet; thence North 7° 45' West on and along a line
parallel to the Westerly line of said Lot 29 a distance of 962. 17 feet;
thence North 82° 37' East, a distance of. 4O.00 feet; thence South 7° 45 '
East, a distance of 951 .06 feet to the Southerly line of said Lot 29; thence,
south 67° 00' West on and along the Southerly line of said Lot 29 a distance
of 41 .46 feet to the point of beginning, being a portion of said Lot 29 of
. the Bonnyview Tract.
