A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
CONSENTING TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS
AND APPLYING TO LAFCO FOR APPROVAL OF THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF REDDING OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED ANNEXATION NO. 82-12 (AIRPORT ROAD NORTH) .
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Redding as follows :
1 . That, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal
Organization Act of1977 , aspetition for "annexation, signed
by owners of more than five per cent (5%) of the land in the
hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed
value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the
County of Shasta, was filed with the City Council of the
City of Redding on June 7 , 1982 .
2 . That the territory which the petitioners
request be annexed to the City of Redding and which said
City and its Council propose to annex, is uninhabited territory
situate in the County of Shasta, State of California, desig-
nated "Annexation No. 82-12" , (Airport Road north) , and
more particularly described in "Exhibit A" and depicted on
"Exhibit B" ; attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
3. That the reason for the proposed annexation is
the advantage to property owners within this territory of
the availability of City services such as electric power,

water and sewer service , and fire and police protection.
4 . That the City Council hereby requests that the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County commence
proceedings for the annexation to the City of Redding of the

territory designated "Annexation No. 82-12" , pursuant to the
Municipal Organization Act of 1977 .
5 . That a plan for providing services within the
affected territory is set forth in "Exhibit C" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, as required by Government
Code Section 35102 . .
6 . That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be
filed, along with appropriate fees , with the Executive Officer
of the Local Agency Formation, Commission of Shasta County .
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Redding on the 7th day of June , 1982 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

EXHIBIT "C"
PLAN FOR PROVIDING SERVICES AS REQUESTED BY
SECTION 35102 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE
Upon annexation, the following services will be available to the
subject area : Water, sewer, electric, solid-waste collection, police
protection, fire protection , and maintenance of public streets. These
services will be provided in the same manner in which they are provided
to all parcels within the City of Redding.
Sewer service will not extend farther to the east than can gravity
flow to the trunk line to he built in Clover Creek.
All utility extensions , road improvements , and street dedications '
will be the responsibility of the owners of the properties when the
properties are developed. Uses that can be placed upon the property
will be determined by the Redding General Plan and any implementing
zoning.
