' , . � � ( - � . . � � RESOLUTION N0. g.2•.�.Z A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AGREEING TO EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES FOR UNINHABITED ANNEXATIONS NO. 81-5, 81-7 , 81-8, B1-9, 81-10, 81-11, AND 81-12, TO THE CITY OF REDDING, AND RESCINDING PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS NO. 81-55, 61-57, 81-89, 81-199, 81-230 , 81-261, AND 81-242. WHEREAS, suboaragraph (b) of Section 99 of the Revenue and, Taxation Code requires the Board of Supervisors and the City Council to agree to the exchange of property tax revenues with respect to property arinexed to the City after July 24 , 1979 , and WHEREAS, the City of Redding proposes to annex to the ' City of Redding certain territory commonly known as Annexations No. 81-5, 81-7, 81-8; 81-9 , 81-10 , 81-11, and 81-12 , and WHEREAS, said annexations are of territories properly characterized as uninhabited lands, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ,that the Board of Super- visors and the City Council agree that for Annexations No. 81-5, 51-7, 81-8, 81-9, 81-10, 81-11 and 81-12 to the City of Redding, . uninhabited lands, the property tax, both secured and unsecured, shall be distributed as follows: • (1) Base year tax - the base year tax as defined in Revenue and Taxation Code Section' 98 (f) shall continue to be distributed in the same manner as in the fiscal year previous to annexation. (2) Annual tax increment - that portion of the tax as defined in Revenue and Taxation Code Section 97 (b) ' ' resulting from increases in assessed valuation over the base year valuations shall be distributed to the City of Redding in an amount sufficient to insure that the annexed property earns the same percentage of total tax as was earned by other property in the City prior to January 1, 1973 . (3) As to Annexations No. 81-5, 81-7, 81-6, 81-10, � 81-11, and 81-12, any portion of the annual tax increment • that would have otherwise gone to Shasta County Fire Pro- � tection' District No. l ,will henceforth be distributed to � � the City of Redding because the City i§ assuming the ser- ' vices formerly rendered by that entity. . � 0° : i l.s , . ��� -1= , :�= -, . . � _,.,o.:. ,. . . _ . � � � ., � •, .. (4) As to Annexation No. 81-9, any portion of the annual tax increment that would have other�vise gone to the Buckeye Fire District will henceforth be distributed to ' the City of Redding because the City is assuming the ser- vices formerly rendered by that entity. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these annexations, to be recorded by the end of the calendar year (December 31) , shall be entitled to distribution of property taxes from and after the first day of the next succeeding fiscal year (July 1) . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolutions No. 81-55, 81-57, 81-89, 81-199, 81-230, 61-261, and 81-242, previously adopted, pertaining to these exchanges of nrooerty tax revenues, are hereby rescinded.
