RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF INTEDITION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER � CHAPTER 9 . 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY ,OF REDDING. (Owned by Carl Nels Olsen, 1067 Center Street) . , WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, de- cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as ( , provided therein, and • WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the buildings located on real property as hereinafter described, and has declared them to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate- gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA, . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Reddinq, as follows : That it is the intention of this City Council to begin legal proceedinqs of abatement uncler Chapter 9.36 of the Redding Municipal Code on the following described property: Lot 10, of Block 3 of Second Diestelhorst Addition to J� Redding as per nap entitled "Map of Second Diestelhorst � �C,�•, Addition to Redding, Shasta County, Cali'fornia" filed August 31, 1901 in Book 1 of Maps at page 58. � BE IT FURTY.ER RESOLVED that said buildings mentioned � hereinabove are hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided p� � , \ -1- �� n �l J \ � i. � J .i�4��i . • � by 'Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code, and are hereby ordered to be abated ' by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code. , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this P.esolution to the County Recorder of Shasta County for recordation.
