RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER ACQUISITION OF
IMPROVEMENTS IN PATTERSON TRACT UNIT 2 ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NO. 1980-6, CITY OF REDDING, SHASTA COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA
The City Council of the City of Redding resolves:
This City Council intends to order the following acquisi-
tion of improvements under the authority of the Municipal Improvement
Act of 1913:
The acquisition of public street improvements, including
clearing and grubbing, grading, base course and finish
paving; curbs, gutters and sidewalks; street lights and
street signs; domestic water service facilities and fire
hydrants; sanitary sewer collection facilities and man-
holes; storm drain facilities; underground utilities,
including electrical, natural gas, telephone and cable
television, together with appurtenant work and facilities.
This Council finds that the land specially benefited by the
improvement is shown within the boundaries of the map entitled,
"Proposed Boundaries of Patterson Tract Unit 2 Assessment District
No. 1980-6, City of Redding, Shasta County, California." This map
has been approved by the Council and is now on file with the City
Clerk. The land within the exterior boundaries shown on the map shall
be designated Patterson Tract Unit 2 Assessment District No. 1980-6,
City of Redding, Shasta County, California.
This Council intends to levy a special assessment upon the
land within the described district in accordance with the special
benefit to be received by each parcel of land, respectively, from the
improvement. There shall be omitted from special assessment all pub-
lic streets, alleys and places and all land belonging to the United
States, the State of California, and this City now in use in the

performance of a public function.
Serial bonds representing unpaid assessments, and bearing
interest at the rate of ten percent (10%) per annum, will be issued
in the manner provided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915 (Division
10, Streets and Highways Code), and the last installment of the
bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day of July
next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
This Council finds that the Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 (commencing with Section
2800, Streets and Highways Code) does not apply to these proceedings.
This Council appoints DONALD B. CARTER as Engineer of Work
for this project, and directs the preparation of the report required
by Section 10204 of the Streets and Highways Code.
This Council intends to enter into agreements with the follow-
ing entities under the provisions of Section 10110 of the Streets and
Highways Code, inasmuch as certain facilities included in the improve-
ments are to be under their ownership, management and control:
1. Pacific Gas & Electric Company;
2. Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company;
3. Viacom Cable Television

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Redding, Shasta
County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 17th
day of August, 1981.
