A RESOLUTIOTI OF'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING SUTMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF TWIN VIEW BOULEVARD. (A-6-81). WHEREAS, certain real property owned by the City in fee has been heretofore reserved for street purposes, and said property consists of Twin View Boulevard, as -the same is set forth on map and plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redding, and the City Council proposes to vacate a portion of said street, more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B attached hereto, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets and Highways Code Part 3, Chapter 4, Sections,8330 et seq.), and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and determines that said portion of Twin View Boulevard is excess right.of way not required for present or prospective street pur- poses, and WHEREAS, a utility easement exists which must be retained 'Within a portion of the right of way being vacated,., NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding resolves and orders as follows: 1. That the Council makes the following 'findings in connection herewith: (a) The project is compatible with -the Redding General Plan; (b) The project will.not significantly alter existing land form; (c). The project is compatible with surrounding land use; -1- (d) The project is compatible with the Redding Municipal Code; and the Council hereby ratifies the negative declaration approved by the Board of Administrative Review on June 10, 1981. 2. That certain real property in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,- State of California, being a portion of Twin View Boulevard, as the same is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby declared to be excess right of way and surplus property, and the same is hereby vacated as a public street, said property to be sold or otherwise disposed of, but an easement to be retained for utility purposes therein, also as more particularly described in Exhibit A. 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and she hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolu- tion, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro- duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 3rd day, of August , 1981, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN•: Demsher, Fulton, Gard, and Pugh NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Kirkpatrick ATTEST: ETIiEL A. HAYS, Ci y IvEtorney b11WHERGI!gUGH Mayor of the City of Redding -2- 11 Abandonment A-6-81 The westerly 33 feet of Twin View Boulevard, adjacent to 1800 and 1872 Twin View Boulevard, in the City of Redding, more particularly described as follows: A strip of land, 33 feet wide, lying within the boundaries of Section 18, T. 32 N., R. 4 W., M.D.M., the westerly line of which is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the westerly right of way line of Twin View Boulevard, lying 192.83 feet northerly of the east -west midsection line of Section 18, as measured along said westerly right of way line; thence on and along said right of way line, northerly to the north boundary of said Section 18, a distance of 2487.82 feet, as measured along said right of way line.
