A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
' SUMMARILY VACATING A WATERLINE EASEMENT BETWEEN EUREKA
WAY AND FOOTHILL DRIVE. (A-8-S1) .
. . WHEREAS, a waterline easement exists between Eureka
Way and Foothill Drive in the City of Redding, which was granted

to the City in 1974, and the City Council has been requested to
vacate sa'id easement which is more particularly described in
Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B attached hereto, in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways and
Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets and f9ighways Code
Part 3, Chapter 4, Sections 8330 et seq. ) , and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds
and determines that said easement has not been used for the pur-
pose for which it was obtained for more than five consecutive
years immediately preceding this proposed vacation, and, in fact,
has never been used for any purpose, and no future need 'is
anticipated for said easement,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
resolves and orders as follows :
1. That the Council makes the following findings in
• connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding �
General Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter
existing land form;
(c) The project is compatible with surrounding
� land use; �

(d) The project is compatible with the Redding i

and the Council hereby ratifies the negative declaration approved r

by the Board of Administrative Review on July 29, 1981.
2. That certain waterline' easement located between
Eureka Way and Foothill Drive in the City of Redding, as the same
is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on
Exhibit B attached h'ereto and incorporated herein, is hereby
declared to be surplus and not required for public purposes,
and the same is hereby vacated as a public utility easement.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and
she hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolu-
tion, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of ttie City of
Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a xegular meeting of the City 'CounciT of the
City of Redding on .the 4th day of January , 1982 , and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

Real property situate in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,
State of California, described as follows:
A utility easement 15 feet in width, the centerline of said ease-
ment being described as follows:
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Parcel B, as shown on
� that particular parcel map recorded June 25, 1975, in Book 6 of
Parcel Maps at page 124, Shasta County Records; thence N. 84°00 ' 09"
E. 30. 00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence S. 1°15' 10" E.
82. 05 feet to a point which lies on the boundary between Parcel B
and Parcel C of the above referenced parcel map; thence along said
line, S. 21°50' 46" E. 619. 05 feet; thence S. 38°09 ' 14" W. 237 . 86
feet to a point on the south line of said Parcel C, the point of
termination. Sidelines to be lengthened or shortened to meet
intersectinq property lines.
Bearings and distances are based .on the California Coordinate
System Zone 1 . Divide distances by . 9998816 to obtain ground
distances.
