A RESOLUTION OF TF:� CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
OF, INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABA'�'EMEDI'P
UNDER CHAPTER 9 . 36 OE THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (3578

. WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures which are
structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, de-
cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute a
fire menace or are dangerous to human life, a likely resort for
vagrant, or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City
Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as provided
therein, and
WHEREAS , the Fire I9arshal has made an inspection of the
building located on real property as hereinafter described, and has
declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public
welfare, and � .
wHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate-
gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding, as follows: ' �
That it is the intention of this City Council to begin
legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code on the following described `property:
All that 'real property situate in the . County of Shasta> �
State of California, described as follows :
COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of the Northeast one- �
quarter of the Southeast one-quarter of 'Section 7, Township �
31 North, Range 4 West, M.D.N,. ; thence running Northerly on �
and along the Section line between Sections 7 and 8 in Town- `
ship 31 North, Range 4 West, M.D.M. a distance of 50 rods. ��`1
Thence at a right angle Westerly to the Westerly Right of `-
Way line of the parcel conveyed to the County of Shasta by
a Deed recorded in Book 430 Official Records, page 439,

Shasta County Records; thence. continuing Westerly on the
same course 97 feet to the point of beginning of this
parcel; thence parallel with said Westerly right of way
line North 0°18 ' 30" West 90 feet; thence at a right angle
South 89.°41 ' 30" West 110 feet; thence parallel with said
Westerly right of way line South 0°18.' 30" East 90 feet;
thence at a right angle North 89°41 ' 30" East 110 feet to .
. the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned here-
inabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by
Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal 'Code, and is - hereby ordered
to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Redding be .and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the County Recorder of Shasta
County for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro=
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 17thday of May , 1982 , and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote;
