A RESOLUTION OF ,THE•CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR EXECUTION OF SUPPLE14ENTAL AGREEMENTS AND AN EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC COVERING CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A DRILL TRACK EXTENSION, AN ADDITIONAL DIVERGING SPUR TURNOUT, AND A RELATED SPUR TRACK AT MOUNTAIN LAKES INDUSTRIAL PARK. WHEREAS, the City Council entered into an Agreement with Southern Pacific Transportation Company on September 19, 1977, covering construction and maintenance of a drill track and diverg- ing spur turnout at Mountain Lakes Industrial Park near Silverthorn, and another Agreement on February 6, 1978, covering construction and maintenance of a related 1,035 foot spur track, and WHEREAS, it is now necessary that the drill track be extended and an additional diverging spur turnout be constructed, and that the 1,035 foot spur track be modified to conform, and WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company has submitted Supplemental Agreements and an Easement to accomplish said purposes, and WHEREAS, the City Council;.deeins `it to be in the best interests of the•City of Redding to approve such agreements, NOW, THEREFORE',,BE IT RESOLVED that the City -Council of the City of Redding hereby approves the.Supplemental Agreement and the Easement, dated May 18,,1981, dealing with the drill track extension and additional diverging spur turnout, and approves the Supplemental Agreement, dated May 18, 1981, dealing with the related 1,035 foot spur track, and the Mayor of the City of Redding is hereby authorized to execute said.documents on behalf of the City of Redding. -1- � The City Council ha,s,,previously certified Environmental Impact Report No. EIR 2 80„ finding that it adequately addressed environmental impacts and mitigation measures for this project.
