COUNCIL OF �THE CITY OF REDDING OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDDING MUidICIPAL .CODE ON , CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF � RF;DDING. (Owned by Mid-Central California, Inc. , 1709 Milo Avenue. ) WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code provide �that all buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe, or are d'ilapidated from old aqe, neglect, de- cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding arid thereafter. abated as provided therein, and. ' , wHEREAS, the Fire Marshal" has made an inspection of the building located on, real property as hereinafter described, and has declared it to ;be unsafe, and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare, and _ . , . WHEREAS; it has been determined that this matter is cate- gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA, NOW, TAEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding, ,as follows : That it is the intention of, this City Council to begin � legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code on the following ,described property : All that portion of �Lot� 1 .of Block ."2" •of -9oardman Addi- tion to the City of Redding recorded in the' office of the � County Recorder August 30 , 1901 in BooY, l of Maps at paae � 57, Shasta County Records, described as follows : , , � . � . -1- ' � � ,��.�:;� . BEGINNING at the 'Northeast corner of said Lot 1 and running westerly along the North line of said Lot 1 , which is also the South line of Milo Avenue, 65.00 feet; thence at right angles 50 .00 feet to the South line of said Lot 1; thence, Easterly along the South line of said Lot 1 a distance. of "65 . 00 feet to the west line of Railroad Avenue; thence, Northerly and along .the East line of said Lot 1 , and the West line of Railroad Avenue SO . 00 f.eet to the point of beginning. • � - BE IT FURTfiER RESOLVED that said building� mentioned here- inabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by' - Chapter 9: 36 of the Redding Municipal Code, and is'� hereby ordered • to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal. ; ' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of ' Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the County Recorder of Shasta County for recordation.
