A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-1 BY PROHIBITING PARKING AT
ALL TIMES, INCLUDING SUNDAYS, ON THE EAST SIDE OF CHURN
CREEK ROAD FROM 140 FEET SOUTH OF DEL SOL PLACE TO 260
FEET SOUTH OF CAMINO COURT, AND ON THE WEST SIDE OF CHURN
CREEK ROAD FROM LINDA LANE TO 260 FEET SOUTH OF CAMINO
COURT.
WHEREAS, Section 11.24.040 of the Redding Municipal Code
specifically provides that the City Council may designate by resolu-
tion additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconvenient for
parking purposes, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-1, adopted on January 2,
1979, the City Council prohibited parking at all times, except on
Sundays, on the east side of Churn Creek Road from 140 feet south
of Del Sol Place to 260 feet south of Camino Court, and on the west
side of Churn Creek Road from Linda Lane to 260 feet south of Camino
Court, and
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its memo-
randum dated April 15, 1981, has now recommended that these restric-
tions be effective at all times, including Sundays, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommenda-
tion and deems it in the best interests of the City to adopt same,
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate-
gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding as follows:
1. That Resolution No. 79-1, adopted January 2, 1979, is
hereby amended, making the parking prohibition effective at all r
times, including Sundays.

2. That the Director of.Public Works is hereby authorized
and directed to install the appropriate signs and markings to
accomplish the purpose of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 20th day of April , 1981, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
