A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF
SEVENTH STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH MARY STREET.
(A-1-81).
WHEREAS, proceedings have been duly conducted and
held in'accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941 (Streets and Highways Code Sections 8300, et
seq.), and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding
finds and determines that the hereinafter described real
property is not necessary for present or prospective street
purposes, and may be abandoned subject to the retention of a
public utility easement over the entire abandonment area,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Redding resolves and orders.as follows:
1. That the Counc°i'1 makes the following findings
in connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the
Redding General Plan,
(b) The project will not significantly alter
existing land form,
(c) The project is compatible with surround-
ing land use,
(d) The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code,
and the Council hereby ratifies the negative declaration approved
by the Board of Administrative Review on February 4, 1981.
2. That certain real property in the City of

Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, being a portion
of Seventh Street at its intersection with Mary Street, '

and as the same is more particularly described in
"Exhibit A" attached hereto and incorporated herein,,be and
the same is hereby vacated and abandoned as a public street,
subject to the retention of.an easement for'public utility
purposes over the entire abandonment area..
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be
and she hereby is directed to record a certified copy of
this Resolution, attested by the City Clerk under the seal
of the City of Redding, in the office of the Shasta County
Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Redding on the 6th day of April 1981, and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: All that portion of the City of Redding described as
follows:
The Northerly 10 feet of Seventh Street lying Southerly of and
adjacent to the South boundary of Lot 9, Block G, Scherer's
addition as shown on that certain map filed for record
January 25, 1887, in Book of Old Plats at page 49, Shasta County
Records.
