The meeting was called to order by Mayor Michael Dacquisto with the following Council
Members present: Tenessa Audette, Mark Mezzano, Jack Munns, and Julie Winter.
Also present were: City Manager Barry Tippin, Assistant City Manager Steve Bade, City Attorney
Barry DeWalt, City Clerk Pamela Mize, and Executive Assistant Erin Barnhart.
CONSENT CALENDAR
The following matters were considered inclusively under the Consent Calendar and each Report
to City Council (staff report) is incorporated herein by reference:
2(a). Authorize the following actions relative to the Eastside Road Emergency Storm Drain
Replacement Project (Project) (Job Order No. 2992-21): (1) adopt Resolution No.
2023-027, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding, by not less than four-
fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, ratifying the City Manager's award of an emergency
construction contract for emergency replacement of a storm drain system and roadway
slope on Eastside Road; (2) authorize the City Manager to execute a public works contract
for the Project in an amount not to exceed $200,000; (3) authorize the City Manager to
approve construction contingency amounts up to a total of $50,000; and (4) find that the
project is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality
Act Guidelines, per Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and Section 15302 (Replacement
or Reconstruction).
A MOTION WAS MADE by Council Member Mezzano, and seconded by Council
Member Winter, that the foregoing items on the Consent Calendar be accepted,
acknowledged, adopted, approved, and/or authorized as recommended.
