Redding, California June 7, 1977 12:15 P. M. 12:15 P.M. by Mayor Fulton with Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton Also present were Assistant City Manager Courtney, City Attorney Murphy, and Deputy City Clerk Richter. CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS Members of Council canvassed the returns of the precinct votes for the Special Municipal Bond Election held on Tuesday, May 31, 1977. RESOLUTION - Result of Special Municipal Bond Election MOTION: Made by Councilman Pugh, seconded by Councilman Demsher that Resolution No. 77-95 be adopted, a resolution declaring canvass of returns and result of Special Municipal Bond Election. Voting was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen - Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton I Noes: Councilmen - None Absent: Councilmen - Anderson Resolution No. 77-95 is on file in the office of the City Clerk. CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS Members of Council canvassed the returns of the precinct votes for the Henderson Road Annex No. 1 Election held on Tuesday, May 31, 1977. RESOLUTION - Result of Henderson Road Annex No. 1 Election MOTION: Made by Councilman Demsher, seconded by Councilman Pugh that Resolution No. 77-96 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding declaring the results of the election held in the Henderson Road Annex No. 1 on May 31, 1977. Voting was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen - Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton Noes: Councilmen - None Absent-, Councilmen - Anderson Resolution No. 77-96 is on file in the office of the City Clerk. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, at the hour of 12:25 P.M. , Mayor Fulton declared the meeting adjourned:. APPROVED: J� Mayo ATTEST: City Clerk By___ Deputy 156 1 1 1 CITY OF R;DDTNG RErJoLUTION NO. 77-95 1 RESOLUTION DECLARING CANVASS' OF 'RETURNS AND RESULT OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION WHEREAS, by proceedings duly had and taken, a .special municipal bond election was held in -the City of Redding on May 31, 1977 in accordance with law, and the votes thereat received and canvassed, and the returns there- of ascertained, determined and declared in all respects as required by law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Coun- cil of the City of Redding, as follows: 1. The City Clerk of the City of Redding is here - by instructed to.enter this resolution on the minutes of this City Council as a statement of the result/of said election. 2. The total number of ballots cast in the City at said election was 3493 ballots. rive ballots were spoiled and not counted. 3. All absent voter ballots have been duly re- ceived and canvassed in time, form and manner as required by maw, and the result of the absentee vote for and against said measure submitted at the election is as set forth above. 6. More than two-thirds of all the votes cast on said measure at said election were cast in favor of said mea- sure, and said measure carried and the City is now authorized to issue bonds as in said measure so provided.
