A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF REDDING COMMENDING
PAMELA MIZE FOR OUTSTANDING DEDICATED
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF REDDING
WHEREAS, Pamela Mize began her career with the City of Redding on May 18, 1998, and has
served as the Business License Specialist, Assistant City Clerk, Administrator to the City Clerk’s Office
and Elected City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Mize effectively and expertly managed the direction, organization, and operation
of the City Clerk’s Office, Records Management Division and the Reprographics Division; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Mize provided exceptional leadership in her roles, most notably as the
Administrator to the City Clerk’s Office, and is recognized in accomplishing the following:
• Successfully merged the Reprographics Division with the Clerk’s Office;
• Provided leadership and guidance in the conversion to on-line staff report processing;
• Provided leadership during the upgrade of the digital records management system;
• Developed the Clerk-in-a-Box product for use during emergencies;
• Served as a Certified Revenue Officer as a member of the California Municipal Revenue and Tax
Association;
• Recipient of the Bruno Award from the California Municipal Revenue and Tax Association for
service above and beyond;
• Served as President of the California Municipal Revenue and Tax Association;
• Developed a Clerk’s Group for networking with other local Clerks;
• Provided leadership and expertise during the Covid-19 pandemic particularly related to City Council
Meetings; and
• Presented at local schools and leadership training programs during their Government curriculum
module.
WHEREAS, Pamela Mize has performed her duties with pride, integrity, and accountability,
always looking out for the welfare of the organization and City residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding hereby
expresses its deep appreciation to Pamela Mize for her dedication and the many contributions she has made
to the City of Redding and its citizens, and wishes her future success and happiness as she retires from
public service.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Redding on the 20th day of June, 2023, and was duly adopted at said meeting by
the following vote:
