The contract period shall be from May 2, 2023, through March 31, 2024; (2) Authorize the Purchasing Officer to extend the bid award annually with Anixter, Inc., through March 31, 2028, if mutually agreeable and as budget allows, with all terms and conditions remaining the same and price adjustments made in direct proportion to a Producer Price Index; and (3) Authorize the City Manager to approve changes to future pricing terms and policies as needed. Fiscal Impact Funding for the purchase of current transformers was included in Redding Electric Utility's adopted budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23. Staff will incorporate current transformer costs for future years as part of the biennial budget requests. Alter�native Action The City Council could choose not to award the bid to Anixter, Inc., and provide alternative direction to staf� Background/Analysis On Monday, March 6, 2023, three bids were opened for current transformers. In the evaluation process, staff analyzed the bids based on the bid price and compliance with specifications. The apparent evaluated low bid was from Anixter, Inc., for$648,813.06, not including sales tax. These current transformers are required to support new and existing commercial services and replace the existing and aging transforiners in service. Environmental Review This is not a project defined under the California Environmental Quality Act, and no further action is required. Council Priority/City Manager Goals • This agenda item is a routine operational item.
