A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING 4
ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF SURPLUS STREET
RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5275
CATERPILLAR ROAD (A-7-87) .

WHEREAS , proceedings have been duly conducted and held in
accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets , Highways
and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code
§ 8300 , et seq . ; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding finds and
determines that, subject to the conditions contained in paragraph
2 hereof, the hereinafter described real property is not
necessary for present or prospective street right-of-way
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders as follows :
1 . That the City Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding General
Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter the
existing land form;
(c) The project is compatible with the surrounding
land use; and
(d) The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code .
2 . That that certain real property in the City of Redding,
County of Shasta, State of California , being surplus street
right-of-way adjacent to property located at 5275 Caterpillar
Road, as the same is more particularly described in Exhibit "B"
and as illustrated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference , be and the same is hereby

vacated and abandoned as a street right-of-way, subject to the
following conditions :
a . Reserving the above-described parcel for overhead and
underground utility purposes .
b. The adjacent property owner shall dedicate right-of-way
for a 60-foot-radius corner rounding at the
intersection of Twin View Boulevard and Caterpillar
Road, as depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference .
c . At the time of development of the adjacent property,
the property owner shall construct vertical curb,
gutter and sidewalk, and install the necessary
aggregate base and asphalt concrete surfacing between
the gutter and the travelled lane for the length of the
frontage along both Caterpillar Road and Twin View
Boulevard .
d . The property owner shall dedicate access rights along
Twin View Boulevard and the Southerly 30 feet of
Caterpillar Road to the City of Redding .
3 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and
hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested to by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of
Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 15th day of December, 1987 , and was
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

A-7-87
Commencing at that certain monument shown as being 165 feet left
of Interstate 5 Engineers Station 170+00 as shown on that certain
map recorded in Book 44 of Land Surveys at page 116 , Shasta
County Records , said Monument lying on the Westerly Right-of-Way
line of Interstate 5 ; thence on and along said Right-of-Way line
S . 05° 12 ' 21" E. , 26 . 02 feet to the point of beginning; thence
running the following bearings and distances :
Leaving said Right-of-Way line from a tangent which bears
S . 6°00 ' 34 " W. on a 282 . 00 foot radius curve to the right,
through a central angle of 23°07 ' 55" a distance 113 . 85 feet,
thence S . 29°08 ' 29" W. , 455 . 80 feet; thence on a 60 foot radius
curve to the left through a central angle of 73°31 ' 17" a distance
of 76 . 99 feet to a point on the Easterly Right-of-way line of the
State Highway as shown on that certain Map of Keen Subdivision
recorded in Book 5 of Maps at page 42 , Shasta County Records;
thence on and along said Right-of-Way N . 29°08 ' 29" E. , 81 . 25
feet; thence continuing on said Right-of-Way on a 5074 . 39 foot
radius curve to the left through a central angle of 5° 25 ' 43 " a
distance of 480 . 78 feet to a point on the above-mentioned
Right-of-Way line; thence on and along said Right-of-Way line
N . 5° 12 ' 21" W . , 76 . 05 feet to the point of beginning;
