A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF
UNDEVELOPED STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AND PARKLAND DEDICATED TO
THE CITY , LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE LOT LOCATED AT 710
SUNRIVER LANE AT THE EXTREME NORTH END OF THE SUNSET WEST
SUBDIVISION (A-9-87 ) .
WHEREAS , proceedings have been duly conducted and held in
accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets , Highways
and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code
§ 8300 , et seq. ; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding finds and
determines that, subject to the condition contained in paragraph
2 hereof, the hereinafter described real property is not
necessary for present or prospective street right-of-way or
parkland purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders as follows :
1 . That the City Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding General
Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter the
existing land form;
(c) The project is compatible with the surrounding
land use; and
(d) The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code .
2 . That that certain real property in the City of Redding,
County of Shasta , State of California , being a portion of
undeveloped street right-of-way and parkland dedicated to the
City, located adjacent to the lot located at 710 Sunriver Lane at
the extreme north end of the Sunset West Subdivision , as the same

is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and as illustrated
in the map attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference ,
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned as a street
right-of-way and parkland, subject to the following condition:
Any house proposed for the property located at 710 Sunriver
Lane will require a use permit due to the increased front-
yard setback.
3 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and
hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested to by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of
Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder .
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 15th day of December , 1987 , and was
adopted at said meeting by the following vote :
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Carter , Fulton , Gard , Johannessen , & Dah
NOES : COUNCIL MEMBERS : None

the future extension of Buenaventura Boulevard, as shown on the
map of Sunset West Subdivision , filed for record September 9 ,
1983 , in Book 17 of Maps at page 20 , Shasta County Records ,
described as follows :
BEGINNING at the most Westerly corner of said Lot 40 ; thence
South 85°31 ' 01 " West, 145 . 62 feet; thence North 21°02 ' 43 " East,
139 . 75 feet; thence North 73°57 ' 22" East, 71 . 11 feet; thence
South 80°34 ' 27 " East, 89 . 64 feet; thence South 61°29 ' 08 " East ,
62 . 41 feet; thence South 60°21 ' 56" East , 73 . 16 feet; thence South
