A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF ��
INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER
CHAPTER 9 . 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON THE ROOF
STRUCTURE LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY AT 3260 SACRAMENTO DRIVE,
IN THE CITY OF REDDING (OWNED BY SHERMAN L. AND DEBORAH B.
FOUNTAIN) .
WHEREAS , the provisions of Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures located
within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe or are
dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes which
constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life or a
likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a
nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and there-
after abated as provided therein; and
WHEREAS , the Senior Building Inspector of_ the City of
Redding has made an inspection of the roof structure located on
real property as hereinafter described and has declared it to be
unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that it is the intention of this City Council to
begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9 . 36 of the
Redding Municipal Code on the roof structure located on the real
property described on Exhibit "A" and shown darkened on Exhibit �
i
"B" attached hereto. �

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said roof structure mentioned �j

hereinabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as
provided by Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and is
hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition
or removal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board
of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all
proceedings provided in Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal
Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Redding be and hereby is authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this resolution to the Shasta County Recarder
for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 3rd day of November , 1987 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
