WHEREAS, on, the 1st day of October,' 1979 , the City Council of the .City of Redding adopted: Resolution No., 79-186 initiating proceedings for annexation to 'the City of certain inhabited territory designated Enterprise Annex No. , 79-5 , as revised,' said resolution :describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, and • WHEREAS , the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County, did in session duly assembled on September 12 , 1979 , consider and approve the proposed annexation, and WHEREAS , said Resolution No. 79-186 did contain a , notice of the day, hour and place, where and when the City Council •would hear protests by any person. owning '•re?al ;property within the territoryproposed to be annexed, the 'time of said hearing being not less than 40r�days ;nor more :'than: 60 :` • days from date of passage of said Resolution, and WHEREAS, on November 19, 1979 , at the hour of' 7 : 30 P.M. in the Council Chambers at 1313 California Street, Redding, Shasta County; California, said time and place- ' being those fixed in said Resolution, the City Council did hear and pass upon all protests to said annexation and did - • determine by resolution adopted at close of such hearing that protests had not been made by 25% of the registered' " voters within the territory- nor by owners of 250;°of. .the land within the territory, and ' _ • �.; • • • ._ -1_ ; III • • . WHEREAS, said territory. is contiguous to .the City ' of Redding, and is inhabited territory in the County of . Shasta, 'and . .. • WHEREAS, owners of more. than 25% of the real . ` property and improvements situated in said annexation, by area,-and by assessed valuation as shown on the last equal- ' ized assessment roll of the County of Shasta;;:<have consented , in writing to the taxing of property within said ;territory . to pay indebtedness and liability of saidCity, .of -Redding r7...,',i. contracted, incurred and authorized prior ,to,,and -existin,g._at the time said territory is annexed, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding does resolve as follows: 1. The City Council makes the following findings • in connection herewith: . (a) The project is compatible with, the Redding • - General Plan,.. (b) The project will not significantly alter . . existing land form, (c) The project is compatible. with surrounding land use, and . . . (d) The project is compatible with the Code • ' of the City of Redding, • and ratifies the Negative Declaration approved by the Board of Administrative Review on August 15, 1979 . . -2 . Based upon said findings, the annexation of • the territory hereinafter described to -the City of Redding is hereby approved, and- said territory be- and- is hereby . . annexed .to ..the City of Redding. -2- • 111 • • • • 3 .
