A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON PLACER STREET AT
MARKET STREET.
WHEREAS, Section 11 .24. 040 of the Redding Municipal Code
specifically provides that the 'City Council may designate by reso-
lution additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconvenient for
parking purposes , and
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its memo-
randum dated December 12, 1979 , has recommended that parking be
prohibited at all times on the 'north side of Placer Street for a
distance of 20 feet west and 120 feet east of the west curb line of
Market Street extended, and on the south side of Placer Street for
a distance of 45 feet west of the west curb line of Market Street,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommenda-
tion and deems it in the best interests of the City to adopt same,
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate-
gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding as follows:
1. That parking is prohibited al all time on the north
side of Placer Street for a distance of 20 feet west and 120 feet
east of the west curb line of Market Street extended, and on' the
south side of Placer Street for a distance of ,45 feet west •of the
west curb line of Market Street.

2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby author-
ized and directed to install appropriate signs and markings to
accomplish the purposes of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 17th day of December , 1979 , and was duly adopted
at said meeting by the following vote :
AYES : COUNCILMEN: Fulton, Gard, Pugh, and Demsher
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Kirkpatrick
