HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1979-158 Amending the Traffic Control Map by Establishing a "Stop" Sign on Cumberland Drive at Placer Street r • • RESOLUTION NO. 7 / —/c: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP BY ESTABLISHING A "STOP" SIGN ON CUMBERLAND DRIVE AT PLACER STREET. WHEREAS , stop intersections are defined by Section a11. 04 . 090 and are illustrated on the Traffic Control Mao, ' adopted by Section 11. 04 .'020 of the Redding Municipal Code, and Section 11 . 04 .020 specifically provides that the City Council may amend said Traffic Control Map from time to time 1 x by resolution,. and WHEREAS , the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its letter dated August 15, 1979 , has recommended that the City Council authorize the installation of a "Stop" sign against northbound traffic on Cumberland Drive at Placer Street, and WHEREAS , the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Redding to adopt such recommendation, and WHEREAS , it has been determined that this matter is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the Traffic Control Map adopted by. Section 11. 04 . 020 of the Redding Municipal Code is hereby amended by the installation of a "Stop" sign against northbound traffic on Cumberland Drive at Placer Street, and no person shall hereafter operate a motor vehicle contrary to said sign.
