RESOLUTION NO. 7�—��1% A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING CONSENTIDIG TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS AND APPLYING TO LAFCO FOR APPROVAL OF THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDDING OF INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "ENTERPRISE ANNEX NO. 79-5" . BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows : 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of, the tdunicipal Organization Act of 1977 , two petitions for annexation , signed by owners of more than twenty-five per cent (258) of the land in the hereinafter described territories , by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Shasta , were filed with the City Council of the City of Redding on December 6 , 1978 , and on April 16 , 1979 . 2 . That the territories which the petitioners request be annexed to the City of Redding and which said City and its Council propose to annex, are inhabited territories situate in the County of Shasta, State of California, combined and designated "Enterprise Annex No. 79-5" and more particularly described in "Exhibit A" and depicted on � "Exhibit B" , attached hereto and incor- porated herein by reference. 3 . That the reason for the proposed annexation is the advantage to property owners within these territories of the availability of City services such as electric power, water, . and fire protection. . 4._ The City Council has reviewed the Negative Declara- tion prepared' in connection" herewith and has determined that no '� , � _ . significant. effect� on the environment is created hereby. That the City Council hereby requests that the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County commence proceedings for the annexation to the City of Redding of the territories designated "Enterprise Annex No. 79-5",, pursuant to the t9unicipal Organization Act of 1977 . 6 . That a plan for providing services within the affected territories is set forth in "Exhibit C" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, as required by Government Code Section 35102 . 7 . That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County . � r F - . .. These services wil be provided in the same manner in which they are provided to all parcels within the City of Redding. In addition, electric utility services will be acquired from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company by the City. It i� not anticipated that sewer service will be extended outside the estab- lished sewer-service-area boundary of the Redding Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.
