That, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal • Organization `Act_,of 1977 ,. the City Council of .the City of . Redding, on June 2, 1980, adopted Resolution N.o:; ,80-117 ;. "con- • senting, to the commencement of annexation proceedings.-and applying to the Local Agency Formation Commission for . approval of the annexation to the City of Redding of inhabited territory designated "City of Redding -Annexation No.• 8.0-•3" (Wilshire Drive • ' A'rea-)..., in„ response to. informal .petitions for annexation signed'.by owners of- land in the hereinafter described territory. 2 .
