A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMEbIT '
UNDER CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL �CODE ON .
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY� OF REDDING. (Owned

WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 o.f the Redding
• .,w
Municipal Code provide that all buildings" oi structures which are
structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, de-
cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute
a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort
for vagrant or dissolute persons , may be declared a nuisance by
the City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as
provided therein, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the
building located on real property as hereinafter described, and
has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and
public welfare, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate-
gorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental
Quality Act,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding, as follows :
That it is the intention of this City Council to begin
legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code on the following described property:
All that portion of Lot 3 , Block 51, FYisbie' s Addition �
to Redding, as shown on the map entitled "Map of Frisbie ' s ,
Walden ' s and Honn ' s Additions to the Town of Redding, �
Shasta County; Culifornia" , recorded in the office of the .
County Recorder October 13, 1887, in Book of Old Plats , J
at page 43, Shasta County Records, described as follows : �

Beginning at a point on the Southerly line of said Lot• 3,
Block 51 , which bears S. 72°20 ' W. , 100. 00 feet from the
Southeast corner of said Lot 3; thence parallel with the
Easterly line of said Lot 3, N. 17°40 ' W. , 100. 00 feet;
thence parallel with the Southerly line of said Lot 3,
S. 72°20 ' W. , 50. 00 feet to the Westerly line of said
Lot 3; thence along said Westerly line, S. 17°40 ' E. ,
100. 00 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 3; thence
along the Southerly line of said Lot 3, N, 72�20 ' E. ,
50. 00 feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned here-
inabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by
Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code, and is hereby ordered
to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal.
' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the
Board of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to
take all proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to for-
ward a certified copy of this Resolution to the County Recorder
of Shasta County for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
