A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING •
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION 'OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION NO. 80-7" TO CITY OF REDDING.

WHEREAS, on or about the 21st day of July, 19.80 , the
City Clerk of the City of Redding did 'receive an informal ,
. petition for annexation' from the owners of certain uninhabited .
territory. hereinafter designated as "Annexation No. 80-7" , re=
questing the commencement of annexation proceedings and—the
submission 'of a ' formal application to the Local Agency Formation
Commission, of Shasta County for the approval of the proposed •
• annexation, and the assistance of City staff in 'the preparation
of. the said application to the Local Agency Formation Commission,
and _
WHEREAS., on August 19 , 1980, all the said owners of
•
certain uninhabited territory designated "Annexation No. 80-7" , '
• • ' more particularly described on "Exhibit A" .attached hereto and •
incorporated herein by reference, did submi-t . a formal request
•
to the Local Agency Formation Commission.•Jfor.' approval to com-
mence annexation proceedings, includingta statement that the
property in the territory proposed , for annexation will be sub-
jected to taxation after annexation equally. with property
•
within the City of Redding to pay the bonded indebtedness of
'the City of Redding outstaning�
do.r authorized at the effective
• date of the annexation, for the acquisition, construction or
completion of municipal" improvements', and including a request '
' that the protest hearing be waived, and
' WHEREAS , the -Local Agency Formation ' Commission of i ,
Shasta County did, in session duly assemble'd ' on September 10 ,

. 1980 , consider and approve the proposed annexation of said
"Annexation No. 80-7" , as more particularly described in
"Exhibit A" attached hereto, and did authorize the legislative .
body of the City to 'annex such territory without notice and .
•hearing by the legislative body, .and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the .City
' of Redding. :and is uninhabited territory -in the County of •
Shasta, and • .
•
• WHEREAS, the owners of all the real property and
.improvements situated in "Annexation No. '80=7" have
consented in writing :to the taxing of property within said
territory to pay indebtedness and liability of said City of
' Redding, contracted, incurred and authorized prior to and
existing at the time:' said territory is annexed, • .
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Redding does resolve.:as follows:. ' •

1. The; City Council makes the following findings in
•
connection herewith: ., '
•
•
(a) The' project •is compatible• ' With^ the Redding
General Plan,. •
(b) The,'project will .not 'significantly alter
• '. existing land form,

- (c) The project is` compatible with surrounding
. : .land use,
'(d) ' The project is compatible with the Redding .
_ Municipal Code, .
and .the .Council hereby ratifies the Negative Declaration approved
by the Board of Administrative Review on August 13 , 1980 . '
2. Based upon .said findings , the annexation of the
territory described in::-"Exhibit A'" hereto is hereby approved,

and said .territory is hereby annexed to the City of Redding.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding
shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and •transmit
a certified copy hereof to the Executive Officer of LAFCO.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution
was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Redding on the 6th day of October , 1980 ,
and was duly adopted at said meeting by the- following vote:
