A RESOLUTION ,OF THE CITY COUNCIL_ OF ,THE CITY OF -REDDING
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION' OF CERTAhN UNINHABITED TERRITORY '
DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION NO. 80-4" TO 'CITY OF REDDING. H ,
WHEREAS, on ,or about the' 2lst day of July, 1980 , the .
City Clerk of the city of Redding did receive an informal
• petition for annexation from the owners of certain uninhabited
• territory hereinafter designated, as "Annexation No. 80-4" , re= •
questing the commencement of annexation proceedings and the
submission of a formal application to the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Shasta County for the approval of the proposed •
. annexation., :and the assistance of City staff i•n the preparation .
•, , of the said application to the Local Agency Formation. Commission,,

• to •the Local Agency Formation Commission for approval to commence
annexation proceedings, including a statement that the property ..,.
in the territory proposed for annexation will be subjected to
taxation after annexation equally with property within the City • •

of Redding to pay the bonded_ indebtedness of the City of Redding
outstanding or authorized at the, effective date of the annexation,
. for the acquisition, construction or completion !of municipal
- improvements, and including a-,request that the protest hearing be
waived, and - •

WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of

Shasta County did, in .sess.ion duly assembled on September 10 , N
-1- .

1980 , consider and approve the proposed annexation of said
"Annexation No. 80-4" , as more particularly described in
"Exhibit A" attached hereto, and did authorize the legislative •
body of the City to annex such territory without notice and -
• hearing by the legislative body, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City
of Redding and is uninhabited territory in the County of
• Shasta, and .
WHEREAS, the owners of all the real property and •
improvements situated in "Annexation No. 80-4" have
consented in writing to the taxing of property within said
territory to pay indebtedness and liability Of said City of
Redding, contracted, incurred and authorized prior to and
existing at the time said territory is annexed,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of'. the City of
Redding does resolve as follows:
1. The City Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding •
General Plan,
(b) The project will not significantly alter
existing land form,
(c) The project is compatible with surrounding
land use,

(d) The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code,
and. the Council hereby ratifies the Negative Declaration approved
•
by the Board of Administrative Review on August 13 , 1980 .
• ' .2 .• Based upon said findings, the annexation of the •
territory described in "Exhibit A" hereto is 'hereby approved,:

. and said territory is hereby annexed to the City of Redding.
• • 3. That the City Clerk of the City o.f .Redding ' - '

shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. and .transmit '
•
a certified ,copy hereof to the Executive Officer of LAFCO. .
I, HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution •
was introduced and, read at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Redding on the `6th- - day of October -

All that portion of the S. 1/2 of the S. W. 1/4 of Section 17, T. 31 N. ,
R. 4 W. , M. D. M. , described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the S. W. 1/4 of the S. W. 1/4 of
Section 17, T. 31 N. , R. 4 W. , M. D. M. , said point of beginning being on the
City of Redding boundary line; thence along said line N. 89°52 ' 39" W. , 170. 53
feet to the northeasterly line of Churn Creek Road; thence along said line
S. 26°45' 16" E. , 52. 97 feet; thence S. 67°53'37" E. , 57.07 feet to a point on
nontangent curve; thence along said curve from a radial line that bears
N. 16°50' 35" E. , along a 1642 foot radius curve to the right, for a distance
of 102 feet more or less to a point on the east line of said S. W. 1/4 of the
S. W. 1/4 of Section 17; thence leaving said City of Redding boundary line
and continuing along said curve 80 feet more or less to the southeast corner
of the parcel conveyed to Feegas Corporation by deed recorded August 25, 1967,
in Book 927 of Official Records, at page 1 , Shasta County Records , said south-
east corner being on the City of Redding boundary line; thence along said line
N. 0°07' 23" E. , 136. 34 feet to the north line of the S. E. 1/4 of the S. W. 1/4
of said Section 17; thence along said line N. 89°52' 39" W. , 74.11 feet to the
point of beginning.
