CONSENTING TO ,COMMENCEMENT OF ANNEXATION. PROCEEDINGS .

TO THE, CITY OF',REDDING,\ OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED CITY OF 'REDD'ING 'ANNEX NO. 80-7, '(FARLEY
PROPERTY ON . HIGHWAY ,.273),.
BE IT RESOLVED. by the City Council of the City of .
Redding as follows:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions ofthe Municipal .
Organization Act of 1977 , 'a petition for annexation, signed
•
by owners of more than five per cent (50) of the landin the •
• hereinafter described territory, by area and by„.assessed
•
value as shown .on the last equalized assessment. roll of the
County of Shasta, was filed with the City Councilof the -
• ' City of Redding on July 21, 1980. 0 ' • • •
• 2. That the territory which the petitioners .
• request, be annexed to the City of Redding and which said
City and its Council propose to annex, is uninhabited, territory . , •
situate in the County of Shasta,. State :of California, desig-
nated "City of Redding Annex No. 80-7" , (Farley property on.
Highway 273) , and more particularly described in '.'Exhibit A"
and depicted on "Exhibit; B" , attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference. •
3. That the reason for the 'proposed annexation is
the advantage to propertyowners within this territory of
the availability of. City services such' as electric power,
water and sewer service, and police. and fire protection. •
4. That the City Council hereby requests that the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County commencer
proceedings for the annexation to the City of Redding of ..the

' .to• .the .Municipal Organization Act of 1977 . •
5.. That a . plan• for providing services within the

Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta
County.

EXHIBIT "C"
PLAN FOR PROVIDING SERVICES AS REQUESTED BY
SECTION 35102 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE
Upon annexation, the following services will be available to the
subject area: Water, sewer, solid-waste collection, police protection,
fire protection, and maintenance of public streets. These services will
be provided in the same manner in which they are provided to all parcels
within the City of Redding. In addition, electric-utility services will
be acquired from the Pacific_Gas and Electric Company by the City. It
is not anticipated that sewer service will be extended outside the estab-
lished sewer-service-area boundary of the Redding Regional Wastewater
Treatment Plant.
