RESOLUTION NO. g7-84""f • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF MARKET STREET FOR A DISTANCE OF 200 FEET WEST OF PINE STREET. WHEREAS, Section 11.24. 040 of the Redding Municipal Code • specifically provides that the City Council may designate by reso- • lution additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconvenient for • parking purposes , .and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its memo- • randum dated April_ 15,1980 , has recommended that parking be pro- hibited at all times on the northeast side of Market Street for a • distance of : 200 feet west of Pine Street, and WHEREAS; the City Council has considered such recommenda- tion and deems it in the best interests of the City to adopt same, and . WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate- gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA, • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the • • City of Redding as follows : • • 1. That parking is prohibited at all times on the north- • • east side of Market Street for a distance of 200 feet west of Pine • • Street. • 2 . That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to 'install appropriate signs and markings to accomplish the purpose of this Resolution: , • - I HEREBY CERTIFY:.that the=,for-egoing Resolution was intro- duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City • • -1- i 5 . • of Redding on the 21st day of April , 1980, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES.:.
