A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDIiQG
REJECTING TFIE SOLE BID RECEIVED UNDER BID SCHEDULE $1055
FOR STATION ALERT RECEZVERS AND HOME ALERT RECEIVERS ,
AND DECLARING THAT SAID EQUIPMENT CAN BE ACQUIRED FOR A
FAVORABLE PRICE IN THE OPEN MARKET, AND AUTHORIZING
NEGOTIATION THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, Council called for bids for six station alert
receivers and 32 home alert receivers under Bid Schedule #1055 ,
and
wHEREAS, the sole bidder submitted an incomplete bid,
covering only the home alert receivers and not including the
station alert receivers, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has advised the City Council
that, in his opinion, he can obtain the required equipment by
negotiation in the open market for a price which is favorable
to the City of Redding , and
. WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully studied the
' aforesaid matter and has determined that the recommendation of
the City Manager would be in the best interests of the City, and
WHEREAS , it has been determined that this matter is not
subject to the provisions of CEQA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ZT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding , as follows :
1. That the foregoing recitals are true and correct .
� 2 . That the sole bid received under Bid Schedule n1055 ,
calling for station alert receivers and home alert receivers , is
hereby rejected.
3 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed ,`

to enter into negotiations in the open market and to purchase said �

� required equipment at a price favorable to the City of Redding. �'

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 15th day of January , 1979 , and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote :
