K30_ 7/40 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING • APPLYING TO LAFCO FOR APPROVAL OF THE ANNEXATION TO • THE CITY OF REDDING OF CITY OWNED UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "CITY OF REDDING ANNEX NO. 80-2" , LOCATED ON • EASTSIDE ROAD. • BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows : • 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 , the City of Redding is applying to annex uninhabited territory owned by it, designated as "City of Redding Annex No. 80-2" , described in "Exhibit A" and depicted on "Exhibit B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. • 2. That the reason for the proposed annexation is the advantage to• the City of being able to provide its subject property with City electric power and City police and fire protection. 3. That the . Ci.ty' Council hereby 'requests that the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County commence pro- ceedings for the annexation to' the. .City' of Redding of the territory designated -"City o.f :Redding Annex: No:. 80-2" , pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 . 4 . That. a plan for providing services within the • affected territory is set forth in "Exhibit C" attached hereto and incorporated 'herein by reference, as required by Government Code Section 35102. 5. These services will be provided in the same manner in which they are provided to all parcels within the City of Redding. In addition, electric-utility services will • be acquired from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company by the City. It is not anticipated that sewer service will be extended outside the estab- lished sewer-service-area boundary of the Redding Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.
