INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF. ABATEMENT UNDER. CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (Owned ' - by Dennis W. Patterson, 1869 Eugenia Avenue) . • WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal ;Code provide that all' buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old•'age,- neglect, de- cay` or other .causes within the City of Redding, which constitute a. fire menace: or are dangerous to„ humanlife,, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as. provided therein, and WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the building located on real property as hereinafter described, and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare, and WHEREAS., it has been determined that this matter is- cate- gorically. exempt from the provisions of CEQA, NOW, THEREFORE, . BE IT RESOLVED by the- City - Council of the. City of Redding, as follows: That it is the intention of this City Council to begin . legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code on the following described property: The west 100 feet of Lots 16 and 17 of Block S, as shown on the map 'entitled Map of Survey of Boardman Addition- filed in the office of the County Recorder of Shasta *County August 30 , 1901, in Book 1 of Maps, at page 57, Shasta County Records. • • Rescinded by Resolution No. 80-113 r - -1- • 1 r t�jti . • • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned here- inabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code, and is hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal. BE. IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all proceedings provided in ,Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Redding -be and she' is hereby 'd uthorized- and directed to forward a certified copy of; this- :Resolution 'to the 'County Recorder of Shasta County for recordation.
