OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT •
. - UNDER CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDOING MUNICIPAL CODE ON
CERTAIN REAL'PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (Owned

WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
•
Municipal Code provide that ,all buildings or structures which are
structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated fromold age, meglect, de- .
•
• cay or other causes within the City of Redding, which constitute
• , . •

a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort
• • •
for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by.
the-City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as
provided therein,: and

' WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the •
building located on real property as hereinafter described, and
has declared it to ..be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health •
• and public welfare,. and
. .
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is cate-
gorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA,

inabove is hereby -declared to be- a public nuisance as provided by
Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code; and is hereby ordered
to beabatedby repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal.
rBE, IT,,FURTHER RESOLVED. that the Fire Marshal and the
Board of Appeals• of the City of Redding are hereby directed to
take .all proceedings','provided. in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
.

. Municipal Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City .
of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward
a certified copyof 'this Resolution to the County Recorder of
Shasta County, for .recordation. .
I. HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 21st day of January, 1980, and was duly adopted
at said meeting by the following vote:
