A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
CONSENTING TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS
AND APPLYING TO LAFCO FOR APPROVAL OF THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF REDDING OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED ANNEXATION NO. 80. 1 (RIVERVIEW GOLF AND
COUNTRY CLUB PROPERTY) .
BE IT RESOLVED by the City: Council of the City of
Redding as follows: •

1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal
- Organization Act of 1977, a petition for annexation, signed •
by owners of more than five per cent (5%) of the land in -the
•
. hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed
value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of. the .
County of Shasta, was filed with the City Council of the
City of Redding on January 7 , 1980 .
2. That the territory which the petitioners '
• :.,''request be_ annexed ;to the City of Redding and which said
• a
City and its Council propose' to annex, is uninhabited territory
" s"ituate ' nthe• County of :Shasta, State of California, desig-
nat_ed Annexation :170: 80-1 (Riverview Golf and Country Club
property) , and more particularly described in "Exhibit A"
and depicted on "Exhibit B" attached hereto and incorporated .

herein by reference. •
3 . That the reason for the proposed' annexation is
the advantage to property owners within this territory of
the availability of City services such as electric power,
•
water- and sewer service, and fire protection.
4. That the City Council hereby requests that the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County. commence
proceedingsfor the annexation to the City of Redding of the

territory designated Annexation No. 80-1 (Riverview Golf and
Country Club property) ,• pursuant to the Municipal Organization
Act of 1977 . . .
5. . •That a plan for providing services within the -.

affected territory is- set forth in "Exhibit C" attached
hereto -and incorporated herein by reference, as required by •
Government Code Section 35102 .
- 6 . That the City Clerk is authorized and directed . .-:
to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Executive.

CITY OF REDDING ANNEX NO. 80-1
All that portion of the S. W. 1/4 of Section 7, the N. W. 1/4 of Sec-
tion 18, T. 31 N. , R. 4 W. , M. D. M. ; the S. E. 1/4 of Section 12; and the
N. E. 1/4 of Section 13, T. 31 N. , R. 5 W. , M. D. M. , described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1 of the Greens Way Terrace Sub-
division, as shown on the map recorded in Book 7 of Maps, at page 10, Shasta
County Records, said point of beginning also being on the City of Redding
boundary line; thence along said line N. 17°04' W. , 203.19 feet; thence
N. 9°19' W. , 217. 99 feet; thence N. 1°56' W. , 112.85 feet; thence N. 3°26' E. ,
224.82 feet to the southeast corner of Fairway Gardens Subdivision, as shown
on the map recorded in Book 13 of Maps, at page 30, Shasta County Records;
thence S. 88°08' W. , 400.37 feet; thence N. 65°13' 50" W. , 726.80 feet; thence
N. 5°37' W. , 130.87 feet; thence leaving said City of Redding boundary line
and continuing N. 5°37' W. , 604.73 feet; thence N. 88°16'45" W. , 1900 feet more

EXHIBIT "C"
PLAN FOR PROVIDING SERVICES AS REQUESTED BY
SECTION 35102 OF THE GOVERNt1ENT CODE
Upon annexation, the following services will be available to the
subjectarea: Water, sewer, solid-waste collection, police protection,
fire protection, and maintenance of public streets. These services will
be provided in the same manner in which they are provided to all parcels
within the City of Redding. In addition, electric-utility services will
be acquired from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company by the City. It
is not anticipated that sewer service will be extended outside the estab-
lished sewer-service-area boundary of the Redding Regional Wastewater
Treatment Plant.
